Fr. Tryvis Moyo
Secretary General
Fr. Moyo was born in 1975 in Bulawayo where he also went to school before joining the Redemptorists in 1996. He did his novitiate in Ibadan, Nigeria, made his first profession in 2001 and final profession in 2004. He was ordained to the priesthood in April 2005 at St. Adolph Ludigo parish in Magwegwe, Bulawayo.
Fr. Moyo holds a Masters Degree in Systematic Theology and has a vast experience in pastoral work, formation, and leadership. He is currently a Councillor of the Redemptorist Conference of Africa and Madagascar (COREAM).
Fr. Mgcini Joseph Moyo
Deputy Secretary General
Rev. Fr. Mgcini Joseph Moyo is a diocesan priest of the Diocese of Hwange, ordained on 21 January 2006. As National Pastoral Director, he coordinates the ZCBC Commissions for Evangelization, Catechesis, Liturgy, and Worship, and the Biblical Commission. Additionally, he serves as Deputy Secretary General, supporting the Secretary General in the day-to-day operations of the Secretariat.
Key Responsibilities:
– Leads the National Pastoral Team, comprising diocesan Pastoral Vicars/Directors and experts in Missiology, Biblical Theology, Pastoral Theology, Catechesis, Liturgy, and Music
– Serves as National Spiritual Director of ZICASAM
– Advises bishops on pastoral issues in the Church
– Collaborates with team members to create materials, conduct research on pastoral challenges, and suggest priorities for the Conference
– Facilitates and collaborates with ZADC and CMRS in ongoing formation of pastoral agents and laity
Pastoral Experience:
– Served in various capacities in the Diocese of Hwange, including Associate Priest, Parish Priest, and Director of diocesan Pastoral Centres
– Prepared materials and trained Lay Ministers in the diocese of Hwange
– Lectured in Missiology, Catechetics, and Vatican II Council at National Major Seminary (Chishawasha) and Holy Trinity College

Fr. Emmanuel Jongwe
Finance Manager
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Jongwe, born on 7 January 1981 in Masvingo, began his education at Zimuto Camp before transferring to Muvuti Primary School in Bikita. After completing his Ordinary Level at Gwindingwi Secondary School in Bikita, pursued his priestly formation at the House of Formation in Mazowe.
He then studied Philosophy at St. Augustine Major Seminary and Theology at Chishawasha Regional Major Seminary, Religious Studies at the University of Zimbabwe. He was ordained a deacon in 2009 and a priest in 2008, he served at one parish for two and half years before becoming the Financial Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Masvingo from 2010-2023.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce and a Master’s in Strategic Management, a Msc in Business Psychology and Post Graudate Diploma in higher and Tertiary Education. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management Studies with the University of South Africa. Fr. Jongwe has published 4 articles in various journals. He was appointed the Finance Manager of the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishop’s Conference in January 2025.
